Cooking Tip: Grill, broil or bake small cubes of marinated tofu or tempeh and serve with toothpicks. Use pureed silken tofu as a base for dips. It can replace at least half (and sometimes all) of the sour cream, mayonnaise or yogurt.

Cooking Tip: Several brands of soy smoothie mixes are available. Simply add the required amount of powder to dairy milk, soy milk or juice.

Cooking Tip: Try some high protein pastas that contain soy Slice soy hot dogs and mix with baked beans Fortify your favorite casseroles with TSP, crumbled tofu or soybeans (canned or cooked yourself) Use mashed or crumbled tofu to replace cottage cheese in casseroles.

Salads & Dressings

Cooking Tip: Turn a tossed salad into a main dish by adding cubes of marinated tofu or tempeh. Substitute cooked dried soybeans (also available canned) or some of the beans in your favorite bean salad. Throw a handful of roasted soy nuts into a tossed salad. Add grated or cubed soy cheese to a salad, or sprinkle crisp, dressed greens with Parmesan- style soy cheese.

Sandwiches & Side Dishes

Cooking Tip: Use marinated tofu or tempeh as a sandwich filling Ö cut rectangles to use between slices of bread, or fill pocket bread with cubes. Use soy cheese instead of dairy cheese in a sandwich. Appetizer spreads and dips make good sandwich fillings.
