As our nation wrestles with a potential war in the Mid East, our need to reduce our dependence on foreign oil becomes more and more apparent. And, as research grows regarding the health risks of exposure to petroleum diesel exhaust, an environmentally-friendly and cleaner diesel fuel is being called for by the U. S. Environmental Protection Agency, health agencies and the public.

The Minnesota Soybean Growers Association is supporting a nationwide "Biodiesel Backer" campaign being conducted by the National Biodiesel Board. In this campaign, individuals are being asked to sign up as a "Biodiesel Backer" to show their support for biodiesel.

There is no cost to become a "Biodiesel Backer" and signing on will provide access to new information and developments in this fast-growing industry.
